I have been working in the piano trade since 1976. I am fully insured and tune in Suffolk, South Norfolk including Norwich, East Cambridgeshire Including Cambridge, North Essex, including Colchester, Saffron Walden
and Bishops Stortford.
A piano ideally needs tuning every six months to keep it at pitch and sounding its best. Pianos are sensitive to temperature and humidity fluctuations If a piano is not played over time and kept in a stable environment it may only need tuning yearly.
If a piano has not been tuned for several years and is way below concert pitch A440 it would need a pitch raise first at extra cost before a final tuning.

I tune at my local concert venue The Bury St Edmund Apex tuning for many concerts including: Rick Wakeman, Julian Lloyd Webber, Gregory Porter, , Nigel Kennedy and Angela Hewitt.
I also tune at the highly regarded Potton Hall recording studio for many respected musicians including Martin Roscoe and the Brodsky Quartet, Joseph Middleton and Jennifer Pike, and Piers Lane and Tasmin Little's last ever recording together.

My name is Jon Pearce and I am a professional piano tuner. I live near Bury St Edmunds. I tune in Suffolk, South Norfolk including Norwich, East Cambridgeshire including Cambridge, North Essex, including Colchester, Saffron Walden and Bishops Stortford. I have been working in the piano trade since 1976.
I attended the London College of Furniture and have a City and guilds for piano technology.
I tune at my local concert venue The Bury St Edmund Apex tuning for many concerts including: Rick Wakeman, Julian Lloyd Webber, Gregory Porter, Nigel Kennedy
and Angela Hewitt.

I have been involved the restoration of many instruments over the years including Steinway, Bechstein and Bluthner which has given me a good insight of all aspects of restoration work which includes stringing, action restoration, regulation and tuning, working for several businesses over the years.
I am still involved with restoration businesses now.
